Updated: Feb 5

At 6’1” and 175 pounds, Owen Gunderson is making his mark as a well-rounded athlete at Altoona High School in Wisconsin. Currently a sophomore, Owen is proving to be a high-impact player on the basketball court, averaging 17.4 points per game while shooting 44.1% from the field and an impressive 85.7% from the free-throw line. His ability to knock down shots at a high level, combined with his court vision (3.6 assists per game), makes him a dynamic offensive weapon.

Owen is more than just a scorer—his relentless motor, positional defense, and knack for grabbing rebounds despite his size make him a valuable two-way player. Described as a “sneaky rebounder” with “great vision,” he consistently makes smart plays that help his team win.

Beyond basketball, Owen is a multi-sport athlete who also competes in football and golf. He is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, exemplifying leadership and character both on and off the court. His dedication to the game extends beyond high school as he competes for the Wisconsin Playmakers 2027 P32 team, where he continues to refine his skills against elite competition.

Currently uncommitted, Owen has aspirations to play at the next level. With his elite shooting ability, strong work ethic, and versatility, he is a prospect to watch as he continues to elevate his game in Wisconsin’s high school basketball scene.
